About

“Art is never innocent.
It ought to be forbidden to ignorant innocents,
never allowed into contact with those not sufficiently prepared.
Yes, art is dangerous.
Where it is innocent, it is not art.”— Picasso

I began to draw as a teenager, my work computer-based, and my style heavily influenced by both Japanese Animation and Manga with no real instruction other than self-teaching via “How to—“ books.

Artists like Kaori Yuki (Godchild), Kazuya Minekura (Saiyuki), and Yoko Matsushita (Descendants of Darkness) set the foundation for my developing body of work, as Literature and Art History courses enriched my repertoire of themes and subject matters.

I soon found myself swept away by Bougereau’s bathing nudes and Gervex’s Rolla, among other gorgeous works, picking up from them a love for the nude female figure which to this day predominates most of my work.

In 2008 I took a year of undergraduate studies in Laguna College of Art and Design, where I focused on Fine Art and Illustration, and picked up a love for both figure drawing and traditional media.

The love I developed for the Gothic Lolita genre fueled by Kaori Yuki’s work gave way to Burlesque as I familiarized myself with more modern periods. Burlesque gave way to Boudoir and so on, all the while the same underlying themes of glamour, eroticism, seductive archetypes and overall female sensuality plagued my work.

The tease, the decadence, the use of the female figure as an exploration of fantasy and sensuality is always a present thing in my work, and one of the unique factors of appeal to my clients.
